  • It is the traditional handmade process of rug making and the most desired technique for rug weaving where the knotting process is done entirely by hand, where wool or silk is knotted one by one.
  • Weaving a hand-knotted rug requires a lot of skill & time to produce. Its quality is determined by the number of knots per square inch & higher density means better quality hence longer life.
  • Manufactured using materials such as New Zealand Wool, Silk & Bamboo silk.

  • Their making is highly time intensive. Depending on the knots in each square inch, it can take more than a year for one weaver to complete a 9ftx12 ftrug.

Hand Tufted


Description

  • Made by punching strands of wool into a canvas with the help of a hand-operated tool. After piling the wool, the carpet is removed from the frame & a scrim fabric is glued to the back.

  • They are woven more like a basket, which means the front and the back look the same, making the rug reversible. They have no pile or actual “knots.”

Leather


Description

  • Carpets are made using genuine Brazilian cow hides
  • Available as full hide skins, Wall to wall Carpets or Area Rugs.
  • Backing material: Wool felt or Suede
  • Leather is a natural product and is made by converting animal hides and skins by means of tanning.
  • Can be used in the form of large flooring rugs, wall hangings, furnishing and upholstery or as throws.
  • Carpets & Area Rugs are created by sewing together pieces of leather in different styles & patchworks to create unique patterns.
  • Thicknesses anywhere between 1.8 to 6 mm. The heavier (larger thicknesses) are rare and an extended delivery time may be required to complete an order.
  • Leather is generally easy to care for & real leather has a natural resilience to wear
  • Varying appearances can be achieved such as tinting, gloss effect, emboss, prints, gold, copper or silver sparkle
